On the one hand complex mechanical multi-stage manual transmission are used, which in principle any optimal speed range of the drive wheels is to be switched via clutch and resulting in different speed ranges of the drive motor and thus different performance specifications. However, these embodiments have the disadvantage that, in spite of many gradations just always can be switched gradually, which always has to be disengaged at each switching operation, whereby the power flow between the engine and driven wheels is interrupted. These disadvantages are optionally avoided with hydrostatic transmissions, but these transmissions have significantly lower efficiencies than manual transmissions. However, they have the advantage of infinitely variable speed adaptation with a largely optimal speed range of the drive unit. Another disadvantage of the purely hydrostatic drive of such vehicles is also that a high proportion by weight is present, since the hydrostatic drive must be designed for the full drive torque. Combinations of the two types of drive described are e.g. can be removed from the DE 10 2008 051 387 A1, DE 10 2006 025 348 A1 or EP 16 262 010 A2 which determines the type mentioned at the outset. The embodiments described in these documents have separate drive trains, which more space and separate controls are needed. The invention is based on the object to improve a transmission of the type mentioned so that while avoiding the disadvantages of the mechanical transmission and the hydrostatic transmission, a space-saving and easy-to-use design is achieved. According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the switching for engagement and disengagement of the hydraulic motor, the switching for the forward or reverse gear and also the mechanical transmission are arranged on a common shaft. This ensures that a simpler construction of the transmission is achieved, with both a compact design and a lower susceptibility is achieved. Another significant advantage is that lower power losses are given, since no additional power transmission drives must be provided. Finally, the transmission still has the advantage that it is suitable for the modular system, since one and the same transmission can be used for both drive variants and only ancillaries are connected or not connected. Advantageously, the hydraulic pump downstream of the vehicle clutch mounted on the input side of the transmission and to the transmission input shaft on or be uncoupled from this. This ensures that the drive hydraulics for the vehicle can be operated independently of any existing in the vehicle hydraulics, which means that driven by a possibly existing PTO implements can be controlled independently of the engine speed and the hydraulics of the drive.
